Prieto-Hinojosa, Adria Imelda

Overview

Dra. Adria Prieto-Hinojosa is a medical surgeon who graduated from the Autonomous University of Coahuila. The Social service research was carried out at the Biomedical Research Center and developed a technique to characterize T lymphocytes. Upon completing undergraduate studies, he obtained a grant from CONACyT to carry out doctoral studies in Molecular Biology and Hematology at University College London. Her doctoral thesis won the award for the best thesis in the health area at the 44th Research and Development Congress of Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2014. At the end of the doctorate, she was director of the Department of Molecular Diagnosis of the Institute of Genomic Science and Medicine. Later she worked at MDG Laboratorios as Head of Quality and implemented real-time PCR influenza diagnosis during the H1N1 influenza epidemic. In addition, she was Director of the Academic Program for Biotechnology and Biotechnology Engineering at the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Laguna. During 2020 and 2021, she was Head of Diagnostic Auxiliary Services at the Spanish Sanatorium, actively supporting the diagnosis of COVID-19. She is currently the Division Director of the School of Engineering and Sciences at Campus Laguna.
Dra. Adria Prieto-Hinojosa, I am a surgeon who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Coahuila, with extensive experience in molecular biology and immunology research. I specialize in developing diagnostic and treatment proposals for chronic-degenerative diseases through the analysis of their genetic and molecular basis. I have a PhD in Molecular Biology and Immunology from University College London, which has allowed me to gain an international perspective and work on collaborative projects in various countries. Currently, I work as a researcher and director of the School of Engineering and Sciences of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Laguna, where I enjoy my work training the next generation of researchers and scientists. In addition, my passion for generating new knowledge has led me to publish various articles and participate in international conferences in my field. I firmly believe in the importance of education and research for the well-being of society, and I am committed to continue contributing to the advancement of science and technology in my country and the world.
