Gijón-Rivera, Miguel Angel

Overview

Dr. Miguel Angel Gijón Rivera is a Doctor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an area of expertise in Thermal Fluids systems. He got his PhD in 2012 at the Tecnológico Nacional de México. He also has a master's degree in mechanical engineering and another in Business Administration. Currently, Professor Gijón is a full-time research professor at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and his line of research focuses on the analysis of thermal systems, solar active and passive, building simulation, latent heat storage, and conventional and non-conventional air-conditioning technologies. Dr. Gijón is a member of the National System of Researchers SNI-CONACYT Level 1. He has been a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE), the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) and the Mexican Society of Mechanical Engineering (SOMIM). Finally, he is a regular reviewer of international technical journals from prestigious editorials such as Elsevier, Sage, Springer, Taylor and Francis, and ASCE.
