Hernández-Escobar, Claudia Eugenia

Overview

"The challenge is to gain access to healthcare resources, including education, for everyone, regardless of social, economic, cultural or geographic factors." The areas Claudia Eugenia Hernández Escobar has developed in professionally and personally, and which she studies in the Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine are obstetrics and gynecology focused on the attention to girls and teenagers, education for gynecological health and medical education. Her daily motivation is to consider that, through her profession, she can positively impact the health and well-being of patients and that, together with the education of students, she contributes to the improvement of the conditions of access to health care services for those who need it, in benefit of society. Hernández Escobar specialized in gynecology and obstetrics in order to help girls and teenagers to have the utmost care of their health. She believes it is a privilege to share with them special moments in their lives, such as the beginning of puberty and youth, the birth of their children and the path toward their maturity. What encourages her the most is the possibility to prevent risks and diseases from an early age. Throughout her career, she has been a founding member of the Ethics Committee of the Consejo Estatal de Servicios Médicos Especializados de Nuevo León. She is the coauthor of the book Terapia nutricia médica en ginecología y obstetricia. She is also an international reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
