Professor Trigos Salazar broadly publishes on areas related to sustainable use of quantitative tools to maximize corporate performance. His research interest cover from business analytics, industrial and corporate statistics, simulation and math programming, up to economic engineering, corporate finance, and investments. He is a member of the National System of Researches of CONACYT, Level I and he is also a member of the Mexican Science Academy. In the corporate field, he served as Director of Organizational Engineering and Director of Development of the Organization Gates Rubber Mexico, where his team classified for the final stage of Charles C. Gates award; the greatest award to teamwork and better practices of the organization at international level. Also, Professor Trigos has been a consultant of companies such as Aventis Pharma, Interjet, and Banco Azteca, among others. In addition to his teaching activity in EGADE Business School, Professor Trigos has performed several managerial positions in Tecnologico de Monterrey, as Director of Research and Graduate Programs, Director of the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, Director of the Master's in Industrial Engineering, and Director of the international bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. He has also been the academic advisor of the student teams that have obtained first and third places in the international competition of simulation organized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and the company Rockwel Software.
