Francisco Valderrey completed a BA at the University of Houston, Texas, a master¿s degree in international management from Thunderbird, Arizona, and a Ph.D. in Administration from the University of Valencia, Spain. He occupied several positions at multinational enterprises and was a co-founder of a technology company in California. Eventually, he joined Tecnologico de Monterrey, first as a professor and finally as a degree program director for international business. Presently he is Regional Department Director for International Business and Logistics and Full Professor at Campus León. He is a member of the research group Organizations, Strategy and Sustainability and a member of the Mexican National Research System (LEVEL 1). He has also been teaching international business courses at universities in Europe and Asia and is a Counselor at Choiseul, Spain. He has co-authored books in marketing and international trade. His research focuses primarily on Chinese presence in Latin America (Orcid 0000-0002-7160-8836).
