Antonio Cedillo Hernández is a Computer Engineer, with a master's degree in engineering sciences and a PhD in Communications and Electronics, obtained with honors, from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico. He has participated in more than fifty research works, including articles in international journals, participation as speaker in national and international conferences, book chapters, as well as scientific articles. He is currently a research professor at TEC de Monterrey and is part of the National System of Researchers (SNII) of CONACYT as a National Researcher Level 1.
Dr. Cedillo has twelve years of experience in academia and research, including a postdoctoral fellowship at UNAM. During his academic career, he has obtained several distinctions, such as the best-evaluated professor at the professional and master's level, best professor of the generation, member of the circle of outstanding professors of TEC de Monterrey, and recognition as an Inspirational Professor. In addition, he won the Best Presentation Award on three occasions at international conferences: ICETC'2022 in Barcelona, Spain; ICEEI'2023 in Bali Island, Indonesia; and ICETC'2024 in Porto, Portugal.
He has seven years of non-academic work experience in the Federal Government, his last position being Deputy Director in the Ministry of the Interior, where he managed projects of high technological and political impact as Contract Manager of Application Development Services. He holds the international credential PMP® No. 1411515 as a professional project manager, as well as the certifications of SCRUM®. ITIL® Fundamentals and Security+.
In terms of consulting projects, Dr. Cedillo has participated as an audit leader in the security audit process of the Preliminary Electoral Results Program (PREP) of the State Electoral Institute of Hidalgo (IEEH) for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 electoral processes. In addition, he was part of the PREP Technical Advisory Committee (COTAPREP) for the IEEH in the 2023-2024 electoral process.
