Cantú-González, Valeria
Overview
I have a degree in educational science, studies that led me to want to keep learning about the area. Thus, I continued with a master's and a doctorate in educational research, selecting the emphasis on learning evaluation.
I have more than 10 years of teaching experience at different educational levels, from preschool to master's degree. In addition, I have been lucky to be a part of large-scale evaluation strategies, from which I learned a lot.
At Tec de Monterrey I have had three positions: (1) research professor at EHE, (2) coordinator of Escala i, and (3) coordinator of institutional research in educational innovation. I have also participated in the design of the Master in Educational Entrepreneurship (MTO), where I am part of the faculty, as well as the Master of Education (MEE).
I am currently member of SNI as a candidate and my research lines are learning evaluation, the relationship between health and education, and construction of evaluation instruments. My investigations are with a quantitative approach.
Finally, in addition to the coordination that I am in charge of, I teach at the MEE and DEE, I have master degree's students in my charge and I carry out institutional research. I consider myself a responsible, hard-working person and always looking for ways to contribute in the evaluation area, whether it be with research, statistics or with the creation of appropriate instruments.
