"Throughout my years as a professionist, electronics has given me the chance to create devices and techniques that have transformed people's lives." As an electronic communications engineer, Alejandro Aragón Zavala felt that the communications part of his education was not complete, so he decided to specialize in satellites and afterwards in radiocommunications. An example of his knowledge on the matter is his book Wireless Communications, which gives detailed references to anyone who is interested in indoor wireless communications. It also provides key elements in the design and implementation of the aforementioned systems, as well as the equipment and problems that have kept him busy over the recent years. Aragón Zavala is passionate about teaching because it enables him to interact with students with different styles, education and motivations, in a way that he can establish an environment suited for mutual learning and collaboration. In addition, he is drawn towards research as a generator of knowledge; in his case, specifically in the radiocommunications field, in radio propagation and satellites. However, he is also interested in specialized consultancy since it allows him to keep in touch with real problems in his profession and, when he interacts with companies and organizations, to put his knowledge into action. One of his professional goals is to always be prepared to study and innovate, which is why one of his main objectives is to keep in touch with students and colleagues, from whom he learns something new every day.
