López-Botello, Omar Eduardo

Research Professor of Tec de Monterrey and co-Founder and CEO of the Additive and 3D Mexican Association. Invited professor of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, in the area of Innovation and Sustainability. He is part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Group of Tec de Monterrey, in which his research areas are: additive manufacturing process development, additive manufacturing materials development, and numerical modelling of manufacturing processes. In 2019 he co-founded AMMA3D with the ideal of unifying all the mexican efforts in order to accelerate Mexico´s transformation to the digital era. He was researcher at the Autonomous Uniersity of Nuevo Leon, at the Aeronautical Research Center. He was also research associate at the Advanced Additive Manufacturing Centre in the Uniersity of Sheffield, where he helped to develop a new metal additive manfuacturing process- He has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering by the University of Sheffield. He constantly participates in research and innovation projects with industry, and constantly publish in international journals. He is part of the national researcher system of CONACyT.
