García-Galindo, Alfredo

Overview

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics, a Master's degree in History, and a PhD in Humanities. I am a professor and researcher, primarily working at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) and the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Puebla Campus. My research focuses mainly on topics such as critical analysis of modernity, modes of production, gender, technology, communication, sustainability, commodity fetishism, and alienation, through a cross-disciplinary perspective encompassing philosophy, economics, history, and sociology. Specifically, in recent years I have taught Political Economy at all four levels in the Faculty of Economics at BUAP and courses related to ethics, sustainability, and philosophy of technology offered by the School of Humanities and Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey. I collaborate with various research and teaching institutions, such as the Center for Research and Postgraduate Studies in Economics (CIEPE-BUAP) and the Digital Media Observatory of Tecnológico de Monterrey (OMD). I also participate as a guest expert in various media outlets affiliated with the institutions where I teach, as well as in discussions, conferences, presentations, and panel discussions. My intention is to continue promoting interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work, as the activities I participate in often involve civil society organizations. I am part of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII).
