González-López, Martín Esteban

Overview

Dr. Martín Esteban González López is a Chemical Engineer with a Master¿s degree in Forest Products Science and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Guadalajara. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Sustainability and Climate Change Laboratory of Tecnológico de Monterrey and at the University of California, Davis, at the Water-Energy Efficiency Center. His research areas include plastic recycling, bioplastic processing, microplastics, environmental engineering for water remediation, circular economy, and anaerobic digestion, among others. Dr. González has published 35 articles in high-impact international journals, with research collaborations in areas related to environmental conservation. He has conducted research at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology in Madrid, Spain, and at Laval University in Quebec, Canada. He received the State Award for Innovation, Science, and Technology in the Graduate Thesis category in 2019 and 2021. Dr. González is also a Visiting Research Associate at the University of California, Davis, and a Level I Researcher in Mexico¿s National System of Researchers.
