Alfaro-Ponce, Berenice

Overview

PhD in Social Sciences from the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH). During her doctoral studies, she completed a research stay as an ERASMUS fellow at the University of ¿ód¿ in Poland as part of the project Measures for Social Inclusion and Equity in Higher Education Institutions in Latin America (MISEAL). She holds a Master's degree in Human Rights and Democracy from FLACSO and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from UAG. She is a Level 1 member of Mexico's National System of Researchers. Her work focuses on education, technology, transnationalism, and public policies, a focus area for which she received the International Award for Excellence in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences (Volume 16). Additionally, she has collaborated as a member of the Mexican Network for the Development and Integration of Educational Technologies in Latin America (RED LATe). Currently, during her postdoctoral research, she specializes in public health and implementation science (with a particular interest in healthy school environments and agri-food systems). She has also contributed to securing funding from organizations such as UNICEF, CLIAS, and CoNL, among other national and international entities
