Córdova-Espinoza, Miguel Ignacio
Overview
Miguel Cordova is Professor and Researcher at the Business School, at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. He is PhD in Strategic Management and Sustainability, MBA, and Industrial Engineer. He is Chair of the AIB Teaching & Education SIG. He is faculty member at the Management Doctoral Program at Universidad de Lima (Peru) and member of the Expert Council for Economic Democracy of the European Union (Slovenia). He is Associate Editor at the International Journal of Sustainability in Higher Education. His research is oriented to Power and Influence, Strategy, Sustainability, Global Supply Chains, Blue Economy, New Space Economy, and International Business.
He is an active member of the Academy of International Business (AIB). He was Country Director Peru at the AIB Latin America and the Caribbean from 2021-2024, and Vice-Chair of Resources at the AIB Teaching & Education SIG from 2019-2024. In addition, he held different roles at AIB such as speaker, panelist, reviewer, track chair, program chair, and session chair.
He was speaker in international conferences and academic events held in Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Slovenia, Denmark, Poland, Finland, India, and Indonesia. He was visiting professor at Inseec Business School in France, Universidad del Desarrollo and Universidad de Chile in Chile, ESADE University in Spain, Universidad EAFIT and Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Colombia, UDEM in Mexico, UNIVALI in Brazil, University of Leeds in the UK and Mount Royal University in Canada.
He was Associate Professor at the Department of Management at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) from 2014-2024, and Adjunct Professor at the Business School at Universidad de Lima from 2012-2015. Also, he was Head of Internationalization at the Management School at PUCP from 2018-2023, being in charge of the strategy of the internationalization of the curriculum, and students and faculty mobility.
He received eight research funds, three of them granted by the Centro para el Desarrollo Sostenible en América Latina and by the Adelante2 platform of the European Union. He received a teaching innovation award, and a teaching scholarship from the EFMD. He is the author of more than 60 academic documents such as research papers, book chapters, review papers, and teaching papers.
Additionally, he has more than 20 years of managerial experience in the sectors of Foods & Beverages, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Construction, Information Technology, and Sports.
