Overview

Associate Teaching Professor, Industrial and Systems Engineer (with honors, ITESM 1997), Master of Science with a specialization in Quality Systems (ITESM, 2000), Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (ASU, 2009), SCRUM Master Professional Certification (CertiProf, 2023). Experienced professional in the field of education, with a solid track record of 26 years at Tecnológico de Monterrey. I am known for my high dedication, structure, and reliability. My focus is on promoting teamwork and building interpersonal relationships based on trust and mutual respect. Self-direction, a sense of duty, and orientation towards goals and projects drive me constantly. My passion for engineering and the pursuit of knowledge are the foundation of my motivation. My leadership is characterized by vision, self-direction, and a deep sense of duty. I consider myself a highly competitive professional with a clear orientation towards goals and a strong commitment to responsibility, productivity, and efficiency. My core values, including being reliable, persevering, adaptable, methodical, enthusiastic, and optimistic, are the basis of my success as an educator and leader in the academic community. I held the position of Academic Director of Basic Sciences and Biotechnology (2005-2017) at Tec de Monterrey Campus Laguna, achieving milestones such as the refurbishment and equipping of four laboratories for the IBN program, coordination of the Business Internship project with the participation of over 40 students in at least 10 regional companies over four semesters, and recognition as the Best Academic Department in the Professional Division (EM2008, AD2009, EM2010). In the last 6 years (2017 to the present), my transition from administrative roles to a full-time professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering has been a significant growth opportunity. I have had the privilege to enhance my teaching skills and be committed to enriching the teaching-learning process. My active participation in various strategic initiatives at Tecnológico de Monterrey, particularly my pioneering role in the Tec 21 Model, has demonstrated my ability to adapt to change and successfully lead the implementation of educational innovations. As a challenge advisor, module professor, and national curriculum designer for the Industrial and Systems Engineering program, I have shown my ability to work in teams and lead projects that have a significant impact on the academic community.
