Enrique Cuan-Urquizo received his BEng and MSc degrees in Mechatronics and Automation from Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico) in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He obtained his PhD in Mechanics from the University of Southampton in 2016. From January 2017 to June 2024 he was a faculty member of the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at Querétaro Campus. Since 2022 he is a core researcher in the Institute of Advanced Materials for Sustainable Manufacturing. Recently, in July 2024 he joined the Dept. of Mechanics and Avanced Materials at Tec de Monterrey Campus Monterrey. Currently, he teaches mechanical design modules and courses such as Mechanisms and Machines; his research interests include mechanical design of metamaterials, and the mechanics of additively manufactured flexible and compliant mechanisms.
