Ibarra-Zarate, David Isaac

Overview

David I. Ibarra-Zarate received a degree in Communications and Electronics Engineering from the Escuela Superior de Ingenieria Mecanica y Electrica (Culhuacán Campus) of Instituto Politecnico Nacional at Mexico City (2005). He has a Master (2009) and PhD (2013) degrees on Acoustics from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain. He has a postdoc at MIT (2016). He currently is a Research Professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences in the Tecnologico de Monterrey, and he belongs to Neuroengineering and Neuroacoustics research group. He has developed several projects related to environmental acoustics, road traffic noise, noise control and vibrations, signal processing, room acoustics, electroacoustic systems, archaeological acoustics and ultrasounds. One of his most important projects is on Neuroacoustics, where the acoustic therapies are used for treatments of neurological diseases.
