Laura Hervert-Escobar is head of the Scientometrics office at the Research Vice-Rectory of Tecnologico de Monterrey. She received a PhD degree in Engineering Sciences from Tecnologico de Monterrey and a PhD degree in Systems and Engineering Management from Texas Tec University. She is member of faculty of the Computer Science Graduate Program and she is ascribed to the Research Group on Data Science and Optimization. Her research include, but are not limited to the development, analysis and implementation of metaheuristic techniques for solving complex real-life combinatorial problems with several objectives. Work experience includes the development and implementation of different real-life models such as pricing model for convenience stores, product analysis for retail strategy, manufacturing process scheduling, etc. Current research is focus on the use of Data Science applied to research performance, forecast in sports, socialdemographic analysis, etc.
