Associate Professor, with 10 years of experience in automation in the steel and metalworking industry. Academic experience at Tec de Monterrey for 25 years in the area of ¿¿Control and Automation. Creator of the Industrial Automation and Robotics summer program at the UPC, Spain and Research Stays for Engineering students at the University of Ottawa, Canada and the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in the USA. Researcher with more than 115 publications in indexed journals, international conferences, books and book chapters in the areas of: autonomous vehicles, robotics, detection, diagnosis and fault-tolerant control, embedded systems, intelligent systems, smart grids, biometrics and detection of leaks in water networks. Co-founder and partner of a company in the area of ¿¿intelligent embedded systems.
