Valle-de la O, Adrian

Overview

Dr. Adrián Valle de la O. Medical Doctor graduated from the School of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon. Specialist in Internal Medicine graduated from the School of Medicine of Tecnológico de Monterrey. Doctor of Philosophy with specialty in Psychology graduated from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, receiving the honorable mention Summa Cum Laude. He is Associate Professor with adscription to the Department of Basic Sciences of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2005, where he has done teaching as well as research work. He was awarded with a State Research Prize in the field of HIV/AIDS in 1998, as well as with the Prize for Teaching and Research Work by Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2010. He was a founder member of the Association of Specialist Physicians for the Treatment of HIV/AIDS in Northeast Mexico in 2009 and has also collaborated in non-governmental organizations related to HIV/AIDS. He holds a Certificate from the Program for the Development of Teaching Skills (PDHD) by the Directorate of Academic Development of Tecnológico de Monterrey (2010) as well as in the competences of Ethical approach to didactics and Collegiate work (2012). Likewise, he also holds a Diploma in Ethics and a Diploma in Clinical Research and Good Scientific Practice from Tecnológico de Monterrey (2007 and 2011, respectively), as well as a Diploma in Applied Statistics from the School of Economics of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (2015), a Diploma in Psychological Emergencies, detection, intervention, and monitoring from the School of Psychology of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon (2020), and a Diploma in Leadership from the Loyola Cultural Center of Monterrey (2020). He participated as Project Evaluator in the 10th Call for Researchers in Training at La Salle Bajío University in 2013. In addition, he has acted as a reviewer of master's and doctoral theses, and has also served as an examiner on master's and doctoral dissertation defenses at the School of Psychology of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon since 2015. He holds membership to the Mexican Association of Social Psychology (AMEPSO) since 2012, as well as to the Mexican Society of Psychology (SMP) since 2013 and de American Psychological Association (APA) since 2020. He has also been a member of the Research Group on Health Psychology at the School of Psychology of Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon since 2017. He has participated as a speaker in numerous research conferences in the field of psychology and education both nationally and internationally, and has made numerous publications, such as articles and book chapters, in the fields of infectious diseases, neurology, and psychology. He has also performed as technical reviewer of medical textbook (Jawetz, Melnick, & Adelbergs Medical Microbiology, Spanish edition 26th, Editorial McGraw-Hill).
