Dr. Víctor Manuel Rodríguez García is a Research Professor with over 20 years of experience in research, teaching, and talent development in biotechnology and bioengineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Ecology, Evolution, and Population Genetics from the University of Reading, United Kingdom, and his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, Mexico.
Currently, he is a professor in the Bioengineering Department at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Querétaro Campus, where he leads research projects in applied genetics, molecular certification of agri-food resources, and food security. His work has contributed to identifying genetic polymorphisms associated with key health indicators in the Mexican population and to developing methodologies for the molecular certification of plants and animals in Mexico. Additionally, he actively participates in the design and improvement of the Biotechnology Educational Program at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Recently, Dr. Rodríguez has also collaborated with national and international institutions on technological innovation and agri-food sustainability projects. His expertise in applied genetics has allowed him to contribute to strategies for sustainable production and quality certification of agri-food products.
He is a Level 1 member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of SECIHTI and has published in high-impact scientific journals. His commitment to teaching and research is reflected in his mentorship of students in genetics, molecular biology, and applied biotechnology, fostering a critical and innovative approach in their projects.
