Dr. Diego Eloyr Navarro López is a Researcher professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Querétaro Campus) in the School of Engineering and Sciences, specializing in plant biotechnology and nano-bioactive systems. His work focuses on improving crop nutrition and resilience through biotechnological and nanotechnological strategies, including the design and evaluation of biocompatible nanomaterials, microbial consortia, and the valorization of agro-industrial byproducts to stimulate plant growth, abiotic stress tolerance, and reduce emissions in integrated agricultural systems. He leads the Plant Nanobiotechnology research group, affiliated with the Food Security & Nutrition Flagship Research Group, and collaborates with national and international institutions. He has developed projects aimed at technological advancement (TRL 3-6), patents, and knowledge transfer for sustainable agriculture. Furthermore, it promotes educational innovation in postgraduate and professional courses on applied biotechnology, metabolic engineering and omics technologies, fostering the training of new scientific leaders committed to sustainability and food security.
