Dr. Armando Elizondo Noriega is a full-time professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Sonora Norte. He earned his first doctorate degree in Systems and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University and his second doctorate degree in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. Subsequently, Dr. Elizondo Noriega completed a one-and-a-half-year postdoctoral stay at Texas Tech University, during which he wrote grant proposals that were submitted to NSF, USDA, DOE, and NIH. Dr. Elizondo has published over 40 peer-reviewed academic works, including conference papers, journal articles, and book chapters. He has also received and managed funds for research in educational innovation in the field of engineering, with the goal of making it more accessible and engaging for younger students. Similarly, Dr. Elizondo has experience in R&D management, engineering, and innovation in technology companies in the Silicon Valley area. In fact, he was part of the team that contributed to a company being recognized as one of the most innovative firms in Silicon Valley by Fast Company magazine in 2022. Currently, Dr. Elizondo holds a Level 1 distintion in the National System of Researchers (SNI) and is associated with strategic research groups and graduate programs, both in the scientific and professional realms, at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His main research areas include technological management, innovation management, system dynamics, agent-based simulation, econometrics, statistics, discrete event system simulation, data engineering, data science, and economic development.
