Dr. Jesús Alfonso Beltrán Sánchez holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy with an Orientation in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL). He also earned a Master s degree in Educational Research and a Bachelor's degree in Education Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON). He is a distinguished member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNII) at Level I for the 2025-2029 period.
Currently, he serves as the Director of Leadership at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he also teaches as a Professor in the Departments of Education and Clinical and Health Psychology. Internationally, he is a visiting professor for the Master s program in Virtual Education in Health Sciences at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste in Argentina.
His research focuses on educational innovation, applied psychometrics, and well-being in academic environments. He has published extensively in high-impact scientific journals (Q1 and Q2) such as BMC Medical Education, Sage Open, and Computers and Education: Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, he has led and collaborated on several funded research projects, particularly emphasizing tool development for STEM and health sciences education.
Professionally, he is the Associate Editor of the Revista Mexicana de Educación Médica. He is also an associate member of the Mexican Council of Educational Research (COMIE), an adjoint member of the SOI-STEM research group at the Institute for the Future of Education, and a Fellow of the UNESCO-ICDE Chair "Open Educational Movement for Latin America".
