Biomedical Engineer and Master of Science in Computer Engineering from IPN (Mexico), and Doctor of Science in Autonomous Systems from CINVESTAV (Mexico). A member of the SNII - Level 1 (National System of Researchers) and a Senior Member of the IEEE.
My professional interests and career trajectory focus on the research and development of novel technological platforms in healthcare that leverage current technological paradigms, thereby enhancing the User Experience (UX) to be both more efficient and user-friendly. I possess experience as an R&D&I engineer in medical equipment, having collaborated in the development of projects such as the ERRMI exoskeleton for rehabilitation and the VSZ-20-2 emergency ventilator during the COVID-19 pandemic. My research interests include the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms in Autonomous Robotic Systems with a focus on Physical and Social Assistance, as well as the development of IT elements with a healthcare focus.
Within the educational sector, I have held roles such as Director of the Biomedical Engineering Program, Director of the Doctoral Program in Engineering Sciences, and Associate Director of the Mechatronics Department. Additionally, I serve as an entrepreneurship mentor in various incubation and technological healthcare entrepreneurship acceleration programs, and am a recurring participant in the Latin American program offered by AstraZeneca.
