Piñal-Moctezuma, Juan Fernando

Overview

Fernando Piñal-Moctezuma holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where he graduated in 2019 as part of the Motion Control and Industrial Applications group. Previously, he earned his Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in 2013 and 2008, respectively. With over eight years of experience in the industrial sector, Dr. Piñal-Moctezuma has held key roles as an R&D engineer, automation manager, and engineering manager at prominent Mexican companies, in addition to working as a systems validation engineer at Intel. His research interests focus on the development of advanced signal processing strategies, high-performance hardware design, and the study of the acoustic emission phenomenon. Currently, he is a candidate member of Mexico's National System of Researchers (SNI) under CONACyT, a recognition that highlights his contributions to the field of research in Mexico. Since May 2021, Dr. Piñal-Moctezuma has been part of Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he continues to contribute his expertise and knowledge in the academic and technological fields.
