Overview
He studied Electronics Engineering at the University of Guadalajara. Later he worked for 7 years in the software industry in different fields, including embedded software development for the aerospace industry. Later he studied for a master¿s degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence at the University of Exeter UK and a PhD in Nanomaterials at the University of Oxford UK. He later worked on Multiphysics Simulations and nanofabrication of solid-state non-volatile pixels. He has worked in several higher education institutions in Guadalajara, including the Center for Applied Technology (CIATEQ) where he oversaw the Artificial Intelligence laboratory. He is currently a research professor in the Department of Computing at Tec de Monterrey, a member of the Advanced Artificial Intelligence Research Group and the National System of Researchers (SNI) Level I. His current research interests include: the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques for the development of surrogate models for material simulations; applications of AI in Edge Computing and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
