Tec-Caamal, Edgar Noé

Overview

Edgar Tec has a degree in biotechnology engineering from the Polytechnic University of Quintana Roo, and a master's degree in science with a specialty in biotechnology from the Polytechnic University of Pachuca. He also has a PhD in Biotechnology from CINVESTAV-IPN. He has collaborated in national and international research projects related to the removal of contaminants (hydrocarbons and heavy metals) in biphasic and multiphasic bioreactors at laboratory scale. He has published several articles (11) and book chapters (5) in prestigious journals and publishing houses in the area of biochemical engineering. He currently teaches and conducts research in the Bioengineering Department of the Tec de Monterrey, Campus Queretaro. His research is focused in the area of bioprocesses, mainly in mathematical modeling and simulation of the production of metabolites of industrial interest. He is currently directing 2 master's theses and 2 doctoral theses at ITESM.
