Miguel A. Montoya has a B.A. in Economics, a Master degree and a PhD in Applied Economics at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain. He has been Tenure Professor in the Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico). He is a Regular Member in the Mexican Academy of Sciences (Academia Mexicana de Ciencias), also he is part of the National Council for Technology and Science (CONACYT-Mexico), the Fudan-Latin America University Consortium and Academy of International Business, among others. He has published articles in academic journals and book chapters, and he has participated in different academic conferences. Dr. Montoya teaches courses of International Business at the Tecnologico de Monterrey and, as a visitor professor, at Moore School of Business (University of South Carolina, USA), Instituto Ortega y Gasset (Spain), Bordeaux School of Business and Montpellier Business School (France), ESAN (Peru) and Universidad de San Francisco de Quito (Ecuador). His recent areas of interest are Global Cities, Education and Multinationals Companies. He currently works as Director of the Fundación Tec para la Innovación y el Emprendimiento (IFE-Europe, formerly Innovation Hub Europe), Institute for the Future of Education of the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Bilbao, Spain.
