Tejeda-Alejandre, Raquel
Overview
Raquel Tejeda Alejandre holds a BS. in Mechatronics Engineer (2008) and a master's degree in electronic engineering (2013) from the Tecnológico Nacional de México. She obtained her PhD from the Tecnologico de Monterrey in 2019 and completed a Postdoctoral Research stay at the Ohio State University (2021), participating in collaboration projects with different universities on medical devices such as polymeric vascular scaffolds for cardiac applications, scaffolds for bone regeneration and their characterization. Her experience includes applications of additive manufacturing technologies, mechanical characterization, and digital twins for medical device development. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechatronics of the School of Engineering and Sciences and belongs to the National System of Researchers. Her current research interests are in the design, characterization and digitalization of processes for medical devices.
