Dr. Gaurav Chauhan is an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico, and a member of Mexico¿s National Research System (SNI Level I). He holds a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences and has over a decade of interdisciplinary experience spanning nanotechnology, biomaterials, and microengineering, bridging materials science, biotechnology, and applied nanomedicine. His research interests include nanomedicine, lab-on-a-chip and organ-on-chip systems, biofunctional MEMS/C-MEMS devices, and nanobiosensors for disease diagnostics and regenerative applications. Dr. Chauhan has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers, contributed to several book chapters, and holds three international patents in biomedical nanotechnology and sensing platforms. He is Principal Investigator of the ePCR and BBB-GBM on-a-chip projects and collaborates with clinical and industrial partners to advance precision diagnostic technologies. He also contributes to Sytosol Technologies, a translational startup developing next-generation biosensing platforms. His vision is to foster interdisciplinary research and education in bioengineering that merges nanotechnology and biotechnology to create impactful healthcare solutions.
