Pedro Daniel Urbina Coronado was born in Monterrey, Mexico. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Engineering Science from Tecnologico de Monterrey, Monterrey, México, in 2014. From 2015 to 2017, he worked as a postdoc in the research group of Automotive Consortium for Cyber-Physical Systems at Tecnologico de Monterrey and then in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He has been working as a professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering since 2018. His primary areas of interest are cyber-physical systems in automotive and manufacturing projects, augmented reality for education and industrial application as well as mechanical design. Dr. Urbina is a member of the Mexican National Academy of Researchers (SNI - I).
