Professor Claudia Camacho-Zuñiga is a leader in research, innovation, and transformation in higher education with over 26 years of experience in the field. With a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México and a Master's in Chemical Engineering and a Licentiate in Engineering Physics from Universidad Iberoamericana, she was a key experimental researcher in the Polymers Group at Universidad Iberoamericana, focusing on establishing structure-property relationships of polymers. She is the author of the books: ¿Experimentar y Medir: Cómo aprender en el mundo real¿, ¿Lecturas introductorias a la termodinámica y su aplicación a procesos ingenieriles¿ and ¿Pensamiento Matemático I y 2¿. She is the founder of Sistema tlamatini, an innovative and inclusive educational program designed to enhance mathematical reasoning abilities in children and adolescents, which was awarded Best Social Entrepreneurship in 2015. As a member of the National Researchers System Level I and with an H-index of 9, she has been cited over 900 times, including a mention for her work on education during the COVID-19 pandemic by WHO. Currently, she is a researcher at the Institute for the Future of Education and a professor at the School of Engineering at Tecnologico de Monterrey Campus Santa Fe. Since 2014, Professor Camacho-Zuñiga has been a driving force in educational innovation and research in Mexico and Latin America; she has leveraged her expertise in teaching and data science tools to foster a passion for science, ethical and civic engagement, and appreciation for diversity of knowledge and people among undergraduate students and academia.
