Overview
I am an Industrial and Systems Engineer and Master in Quality and Productivity Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. I am certified as Black Belt by BMGi Consulting Group, certified as SCRUM Master by the international scrum institute, and certified in logistics and supply chain by the Mexican logistics and supply chain association.
I have a Phd from the University of León, Spain, my thesis was about the adaptation and results of different improvement methodologies (lean, six sigma) where we linked academic actors (university students) with SME companies.
I have published in national and international indexed journals (Scopus) and participated as a speaker in various congresses, I have also advised doctoral students with their theses.
I worked at the tec de monterrey Campus Tampico high school, I was director of the IIS program at that campus for 7 years, also coordinating the acquisition, start-up and operation of all the campus laboratories, a few years later I was a research professor at the campus Querétaro, to later take the direction of the IIS program on campus Querétaro from 2013 to date. Between the Tampico and Querétaro campuses, I have successfully faced 3 accreditation processes from CACEI and 2 from ABET.
I have collaborated with people from other national and foreign universities for the benefit of IIS students. I am part of the first professional chapter of IISE (institute of industrial and systems engineers) in Mexico, for which I have served as evaluator of national competitions, I have been Facutly advisor of the student chapter of IISE in Querétaro for the last 7 years.
Within my experience in the industry, I was coordinator of the implementation of the Lean Manufacturing System for the AFL automotive plant in Apodaca NL (700 employees), I have participated in consulting projects for organizations of all kinds and sizes such as Kellogg's, Kostal, EverCast, the Hospital Beneficencia Española, Primex, Tiendas Arteli, Lyondellbasel, Constructora Tercer Millenium and Cooper T Smith.
I am currently the IIS program director at the Querétaro Campus, a position I have held since August 2013.
