Vargas-Martínez, Adriana

Overview

Associate Dean of the Digital School and Graduate Studies at the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tecnológico de Monterrey. National Leader of Ingenia Women in Engineering and Sciences, an initiative that promotes gender equity, female vocations in STEM areas, and equal opportunities. She coordinates the relationship of Tecnológico de Monterrey with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the School of Engineering and Sciences. She received her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (2005), a Master of Science with a specialization in Environmental Systems (2007), and a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences with a specialization in Automation (2011) from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus. She was a visiting researcher at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (2010). She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship (2012-2013) in Montreal, Canada at Concordia University. Her research areas include Educational Innovation, Automatic Control, Intelligent Control Systems, and Fault Tolerant Control. She has more than 70 publications in research and education and is a member of the National System of Researchers Level I.
