Renato Galluzzi has a background in Mechatronics, with PhD (2014) and MSc (2010) degrees from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, and a BSc degree (2008) from Universidad del Valle de Mexico, Mexico. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Mechatronics Laboratory of Politecnico di Torino from 2014 to 2020, where he is currently an adjunct researcher. Since 2021, he is a research professor at the School of Engineering and Sciences of Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico city campus. His research lines involve actuation systems, electric machines and control systems with applications in the automotive and industrial fields. He has more than thirty peer-reviewed scientific publications in journals, and more than twenty contributions in international conferences. He holds inventorship in more than eight international patents. Currently, Prof. Galluzzi is a Level-1 member of the Mexican Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII). Since 2023, he is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has supervised consulting projects in his areas of expertise through Tecnologico de Monterrey with national and international partners. In the academy, Prof. Galluzzi lectures in electrical systems for undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Tecnologico de Monterrey and Politecnico di Torino.
