Ortiz-Bayliss, José Carlos

Overview

I am currently a research professor at the Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. My research interests include soft computing applied for heuristic selection and generation for optimization and combinatorial problems. I am interested in algorithms for pattern recognition to identify relations between problem features and solution methods. Most of my studies have focused on constraint satisfaction problems, the features to characterize them and innovative solving alternatives through hyper-heuristics. I have also found interesting the use of genetic algorithms to produce random CSP instances for testing specific heuristics.
