Navarro-Tuch, Sergio Alberto

Overview

Sergio Alberto Navarro-Tuch was born in Ciudad de México, México. He received the degree of Bachelor Mechatronic Engineering (2014) from ITESM, Campus Ciudad de México, México, where he also received the PhD. degree in the Engineering Sciences Dept (2018). He has been doing research with the Centro de Investigación en Microsistemas y Biodiseño where he participated as coordinator of the research in Acoustic Therapies during the last year of his pregrad studies. During the second half of 2017 he made a research internship at the ¿¿¿¿¿¿ Denki-Ts¿shin Daigaku (University of Electro-Communications) in Tokyo, Japan, and in 2019 he made a Postdoctoral research stay at the Mechanical Engineering Department of MIT, in MA, USA. He is currently a partner of the international house automation association KNX, and also the representative of the ITESM as a scientific partner. He became part of the international association Dementia Friends in 2022. Since 2024 he obtained the recognition as a national researcher (SNI) level 1. His research interests include house automation based on user emotional state analysis, product analysis and user experience (UX) analysis, he also works on development of care assistance systems.
