Torres-Delgado, Gabriela

Overview

Gabriela Torres, Ph.D. in Philosophy with a specialization in Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Magna Cum Laude distinction), is a renowned expert in educational innovation, educational models, didactics, curriculum design, teaching, psychometrics, and psychopedagogy. Through her research lines, she has developed solutions to improve educational programs, optimize the teaching-learning process, and foster competencies in students and researchers. Currently, as Director of Scientific Trajectory Development at Tecnológico de Monterrey, she has spearheaded training programs, the design of institutional policies, the implementation of interdisciplinary strategies, and the development of projects that promote a culture of world-class research. Additionally, she serves as Secretary of the Institutional Ethics Committee for Research at TEC, evaluating protocols to ensure the well-being, data protection, and rights of participants in research conducted at the institution. She is also a member of the National Program of Ethics Ambassadors at TEC. With over 20 years of experience, she is part of the Faculty of the Master's in Education and the Faculty of the Specialty in Management for Leadership and Educational Innovation. Throughout her career, she has supervised more than 70 thesis students in both public and private institutions. As a senior consultant, she has collaborated with various organizations providing solutions on educational topics. She is the author of the Competence® methodology, published in her book by Editorial Trillas, which has sold over 3,500 copies. She also developed the Accreditation of Research-Based Learning for Professors®, contributing to the enhancement of teaching practices. Her international scientific publications and her leadership in designing the research concentration at Tecnológico de Monterrey reflect her academic and professional commitment. In recent years, she has incorporated machine learning and data science into interdisciplinary research, expanding the boundaries of educational science and positioning herself at the forefront of her field. Her work continues to be a benchmark in education and research, demonstrating a profound impact on the development of leaders and innovative solutions for 21st-century challenges.
