Research professor (SNI 1) of mechanical and automotive engineering at the Tecnológico de Monterrey since 2018. He is the leader of the Automotive and Manufacturing Tribology Laboratory. He is currently engaged in electric vehicle tribology research, biolubricants and tribology tester innovation. He has participated in research, technological development and consulting / training projects for the automotive and lubrication industry. He has a master's and doctorate in mechanical engineering awarded by the IPN in CDMX. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Sheffield, Texas A&M University, and the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Argentina. In 2018, he received the "Best PhD Thesis" award from the IPN, and the "Inspiring Professor" award from the Tec de Monterrey in 2021. He has 2 Mexican and 1 US patents, and a total of 50 publications in prestigious journals. He is currently Associate Editor of the journals: "Journal of Engineering Tribology" and "Mechanics and Industry".
