Serrano-Bosquet, Francisco Javier

Overview

Graduate and PhD in Philosophy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain), I am also a professor-researcher at the School of Humanities and Education, coordinator of the Strategic Approach Research Group "Science, technology and society" and member of the National System of Researchers (SNI). Although my general areas of research are ethics, history and philosophy of science, social and cultural studies of science, and ethics and citizenship, I am currently working with special emphasis on the constitution and formal development of a philosophy of agronomy. I also work on nanoethics and science and war projects. I participate and direct several research projects on Philosophy of Science and Scientific Policy funded by CONACYT (Mexico) and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (Spain). I am co-director and co-founder of the collection of books on the history and philosophy of science "New Astrolabe" and "New Debate". I have given at conferences and seminars in different Mexican, Spanish, American and Brazilian universities. I have also participated in national and international conferences held in Mexico, Spain, the United States, Brazil and China.
