Camacho-León, Sergio

Overview

Sergio Camacho León is Associate Professor in the Department of Computing and Adjunct Researcher in the Nano Sensors & Devices Group of the School of Engineering and Sciences at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. He currently serves as National Director of the Robotics and Digital Systems Engineering Program (IRS19), Chair of the Applied Robotics Concentration (CRA14) and heads the activities of the Internet of Things Laboratory at MTY Campus. He received a B.S. degree in Physics Engineering, a M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering, and a Ph.D. degree in Information Technology and Communications from the Tecnológico de Monterrey; where he later held a postdoctoral fellowship in Bioelectromechanical Microsystems (BioMEMS). He has participated in different projects of educational innovation, research, development and technology transfer in China, United States, Canada, Poland, France, Chile and Mexico. His research interests focus on sensors, actuators and Lab-On-a-Chip technologies for Microrobotics and the Internet of Things (IoT). He is member of the National System of Researchers (SNI-Level I) of CONACYT, IEEE senior member, IEEE Eta Kappa honorary member, and Leader in Innovation Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering of the United Kingdom.
