Pérez-García, Benjamín de Jesús

Overview

Benjamín Pérez-García obtained his Ph.D. from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2018. During his studies, he carried out several research stays at the Structured Light Laboratory at the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa), led by Prof. Andrew Forbes, where he worked on the implementation of quantum algorithms using classical light. In 2019, he completed a postdoctoral stay at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Konrad. To date, he has published over 35 research articles and one chapter for the Wiley Encyclopedia of Physics. His research interests include the study of extended sources, vector beams, quantum algorithms, and science communication. He is currently a research professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Level 2 member of Mexico¿s National System of Researchers.
