Mora-Vargas, Jaime

Overview

J. Mora-Vargas is a Professor and Head of the Graduate Programs in Engineering of the Mexico City and Metropolitan Area campuses of Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM). Professor Mora-Vargas has more than 14 years of research experience in Complex Systems and Operations Research. His research activities focus on evolutionary computation and on the application of metaheuristic techniques to industrial and business problems, areas in which he has published numerous research papers in conferences and journals. He also served as Director of Software Development of Adaptive Technologies, a company that developed artificial agent systems for predicting stock price movements. Professor Mora-Vargas holds an Engineering Physics degree from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and a PhD in Engineering (Operations Research) from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
