Izquierdo-Reyes, Javier

Overview

Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences and Research-oriented Associate Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus. His work focuses on control, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and the development of engineering projects with applied and interdisciplinary impact. He combines research with talent development, leading initiatives that integrate modeling, systems design, experimental implementation, and validation in real-world environments. He has engaged in academic and industry collaborations to address challenges in automation, electromobility, robotics, and data analytics, advancing evidence-based solutions with technical rigor. In teaching, he offers courses in robotics, control, and engineering project development, with a practical approach centered on problem solving, experimentation, and the ethics of technological innovation. His interests include estimation and control, machine learning for decision-making, perception and sensor fusion, and reproducible engineering methodologies. As a mentor and team leader, he promotes creativity, collaboration, and the transfer of knowledge into products, prototypes, and scientific publications, strengthening ties with industry sectors and research centers. His goal is to train engineers and scientists capable of designing robust, scalable solutions to contemporary technological challenges.
